100 DAYS OF SCHOOL!!!

As an introduction to the reader "100th Day Worries", in 3rd Form we celebrate 100 days of school doing different activities. One of them was to make a collection of 100 things. They should be small and grouped as children wanted. These are the results!!!

THE WEATHER!

We have been working with the weather. We shared which weather we prefer and then we played memotest. It was really funny and interesting.

FOOD!

We have been working with food. We discussed the food items that are healthy and the ones that are unhealthy. Then, we played with the dice. We had to throw it and to call out the correct food item. Then we watched a video related to this topic.

We express our thanks for one of the families in 4A classroom who gave us this video. It was a beautiful present!

ANIMALS!!

We have been working with domestic animals. We shared with our partners the pets we have and then we played dominoes. It was funny but we had to be concentrated on the game in order to do it well.

CHILDREN´S DAY

We celebrated Children`s Day!!!! We dressed up in different costumes, we played a lot and we learnt many words in English. It was enjoyable.

Miss Antonela told us the story "Let`s go on holidays!!".  Our mini concert is based on this story. The main characters are animals who want to go on holidays but they cannot decide in which mean of transport they will travel. Finally, they realized that it is not important how to travel; the most important thing is that they go on holidays altogether. Then, we drew the part of the story we liked most. It was very funny!!!

6TH FORM B

LEARNING NEW VOCABULARY!

6th form B has been working on making descriptions by using adjectives related to places, people and clothes. Learning new words is necessary to improve the language. Well done!!

Kinder 4A had a great time sharing activities with their parents. They drew pictures and played together for a long time. It was a great experience as they had lots of fun!

7TH FORM A AND B

During this term we read, discussed and analysed the story called Matilda. We wrote summaries which helped us to study for the bimonthly test. Then, we watched the film and compared the sequence of events with those described on the book. It was interesting and really gripping. As a final project, we wrote about the differences between the movie and the book. We did a good job.

7TH FORM B

We played puzzles. Each one represented a film or a TV serial. After putting the puzzle pieces together, we discussed the topics dealt with on the different serials and films and finally we chose one and wrote about its plot. It was demanding, but funny!

Kinder 5B

We played computer games with Captain Jack and his friends. First, we listened to an interesting story about a dragon and Captain Jack. Then, we played three different games related to parts and things on the face. It was amazing!!!

We have been working on body parts. We sang different songs and we danced a lot. Then, we decorated some paper with our photographs glued onto it. Finally, we recognized the different parts of the body by touching them on the picture. It was a great activity and we had lots of fun!!

Kinder 4 A

We learnt new vocabulary about the members of our family. We sang a beautiful song and we played a memory test game. We had to match pairs in order to win the game. It was great fun!!

Kinder 3A

We have been working on weather conditions with the children from kinder 3 A. The teacher gave us weather puppets and while we were singing the song we had to raise the correct one. It was a funny activity!!

2nd Form B – Miss Sol Bursik

Students learnt vocabulary related to body parts and the character of the unit was a robot. Students made robot masks, and came to the front of the class using the new vocabulary imitating robots’ way of talking.

This is our moving folder. Here we show some of the pictures we have made. They are really beautiful and the most important thing is that we worked together with our families.

We were told the story of Katie, the ant. She had a friend, Andy, who looked for food during the summer because in winter ants do not look for food. But while Andy was very busy, Katie was singing and resting. When winter came, Katie did not have food and a warm house to keep in, so Andy allowed her to enter her house. Finally, Katie learnt that it was good to rest but she had to look for food too. Then, we drew and coloured the part of the story we liked the best.

We brought toys to the English class!!!! It was a great experience because each of us spoke about our favorite toy. We enjoyed ourselves a lot!!!

7TH FORM OUR RANDOM BOARD

We have been working on our new board. In this case we prepared a random one in which we were separated into groups. We had to choose one of the units we have been dealing with and we had to prepare a project. These are the results. Miss Antonela Tarifa

We have been learning about how to describe a picture and we have had great fun learning about British and American tribes.

5th YEAR I - JOBS

We worked in groups preparing an oral presentation about different types of jobs. We made pictures, visual aids and some of us even made cookies! On displaying the material, we also polished pronunciation and diction. Miss Sol Bursik

3rd FORM A – THE ANT AND THE CRICKET

We have been working on a story called “THE ANT AND THE CRICKET,” which taught us a great moral about work. The children loved the story so much they made beautiful drawings about the parts they liked best.

4TH FORM B - Chewy Louie - Miss Karina Mendoza

We’ve been reading a lovely story called Chewy Louie about a cute puppy that loved chewing everything he found around him! His family loved him so much that gave him lots of opportunities, waiting for a change. When students finished the story, they chose their favourite part, wrote about it and drew it. They really enjoyed it! Well done kids!

Hereby we share more about students’ display. All these mural paper pieces of work have to do with what they discuss in class and the type of tasks they do research on. Most of what is seen in these pictures served as visual aid for oral presentation practice. Students use specific vocabulary to express ideas related to other areas and they are beginning to understand its importance in the handling of any language. We have been working on family members. First Kanga and Rito taught us about the members of their family. Then, we brought photos of our families and we shared them with our classmates. It was great fun!!!!

3RD YEAR I - Ms Sol Plaza, English Head

Third year students from upper intermediate level of English have been working on our brain’s anatomy, structure and system. After doing research work on the field and giving their oral presentations on the topic, they went further on to learn about both strengths and weaknesses that can identify our most important organ. The results were very good and they all realized the importance of looking after our brains from an early age.

KINDER 5 B - Captain Jack Video - Miss Antonela Tarifa

Our friend, Captain Jack, brought us a video to watch. There was an amazing story and many games to have fun with. We also listened to a song that was about the parts of the face, the topic we learnt in unit 1 from the book. We loved the video!!!!

5TH FORM A - Life in Art - Miss Bárbara Ferrero

We have been working really hard in the process of making a “My World” collage. First, we thought of ideas and what we wanted to include in our work. Then, we found pictures and drawings, and we organized how we were going to arrange them. Finally, we wrote about what each picture meant to us. We had a lot of fun! They were amazing! We have been working on how to write descriptions. Then, we chose a person or a character we liked and we wrote a hundred-word description of him/her. It was very enriching!

We did our first oral presentation concerning our Literature analysis on “Matilda”. Then, we were divided into different groups and each one had a topic to prepare. Each member of the group had to tell part of the story. It was a great experience and we enjoyed it a lot!!!
